This continuing education course introduces real estate professionals to the fundamentals of green and sustainable real estate practices. Participants will explore how energy efficiency, environmentally conscious building features, and sustainable design impact property value, operating costs, marketability, and consumer demand in today’s housing and commercial markets.
Topics include green building terminology, energy-efficient systems, renewable energy options, water conservation, indoor air quality, sustainable materials, and common green certifications and rating systems. The course also examines how to identify and communicate green features to clients, understand basic incentives and financing considerations, and recognize emerging trends in sustainable real estate.
By the end of the course, attendees will have a foundational understanding of green real estate concepts and be better equipped to educate clients, market sustainable property features, and navigate the growing demand for environmentally responsible properties.
