This continuing education course examines the growing impact of wildfire risk on real estate transactions, property ownership, and community planning. Participants will gain an understanding of how wildfire hazards affect property values, insurance availability, financing, disclosure obligations, and buyer and seller decision-making in at-risk areas.

The course explores wildfire mitigation strategies, defensible space concepts, property hardening practices, and the role of local regulations and environmental factors in wildfire-prone regions. Real estate professionals will also learn how to identify potential risks, communicate effectively with clients, and navigate evolving market and insurance challenges related to wildfire exposure.

By the end of the course, attendees will be better prepared to educate and guide clients, recognize risk factors, and support informed real estate decisions in communities impacted by wildfire concerns.
